Multi Terminal

In the Multi Terminal in port of Aarhus there are different types of special equipment for handling all types of bulk goods, containers, general cargo etc. Here are efficient cranes and spacious warehouses, allowing delivery to take place directly to railway trucks and lorries.

The Eastern harbour is also home to factories that produce vegetable oil for the foodstuffs industry.

AAK (AarhusKarlshamn), The Solae Company and Scanola all export a proportion of their finished production in containers, via the Container Terminal in the port of Aarhus. Oil products are also loaded and undoaded via pipes to smaller tank ships.

In the terminal bulk goods such as: coal, animals feedstuff, fertilizer, soya beans, sunflower seeds, rape etc. are loaded and unloaded.

The Multi Terminal is, in addition, extremely well-suited for business activities which require space such as project goods, wood, and there are storage facilities for wind mills waiting for shipment.

Close to the terminal can be found a weighbridge, a tally office, etc. Similarly, there are modern facilities for those working in the port suitably placed along side ship operations.

The port's warehouses are leased out to companies operating within the port. Storage and consolidation of a wide range of different products take place in the general cargo warehouses.

Imported goods can be stored in bonded warehouses so that VAT and duties are not paid until they are expored or used.
